This past memorial weekend we stayed close to home and visited the once mighty Navy ship - USS Hornet. It was used in World War II and the Korean War. The kids had some good time watching helicopters and fighter planes on the decks of this large vessel. The day was quite windy and cold.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Over this memorial day long weekend we visited Monterey Bay Aquarium. We thought Tanish would enjoy it a lot because he likes fishes and loves to watch them when we visit a pet store. Incidentally he lost his interest after the first few minutes. Over fishing is bad I suppose! I mean over fish watching! Here are some photos of our visit.

San Diego trip

This Winter we visited San Diego. We visited both the Zoo and the Lego Land. It was a fantabulous  trip. We left on Saturday morning at about 10:30am and reached San Diego at about 8:30 pm. We mostly set our cars on cruise control and enjoyed the ride. The first day we visited the Zoo. If you have ever been to San Diego zoo you'll know how big the zoo is and how uneven its terrain is. Towards the end of the day we were all completely exhausted. The zoo closes at 5:00pm. Tanish got to watch a lot of animals. It was his second visit to the zoo. His first one was at San Francisco. I think I have written a lot. I'll let you watch some pictures now.

Kushaal turns seven

Kushaal  turned seven this December 7th. Since he has outgrown the Chuckee cheese kinda party we had to plan something different for him.


We followed the same plan that a friend of his had planned a few months before. We invited about 5 kids for a sleep over on Friday evening and took them out for a dinner at Fresh Choice. When they woke up in the morning we had a pancake breakfast. The kids got to play for a while after that which was followed by cake cutting and in the afternoon took them out to Pizza Hut for lunch. We went bowling after that and came back home. They watched a movie "theatre style" with popcorns and finally ended the day with a dinner at In n Out burger. All I can say in the end is that he had a blast!!

Tanish's 2nd birthday

Kushaal lost his first tooth

It's the next phase of life. Kushaal lost his first tooth. In fact he truly lost it. He swallowed it and didn't realize it. Well, It's time for the tooth fairy time now I guess :)

A day in Gilroy Gardens

We had been to Gilroy Gardens yesterday. We left Poonam behind in the house who wanted to rest and catch up with her chores. The day was wonderful and there was absolutely no crowd. The kids got to sit on rides 3 or 4 times sometimes. It was Tanish's first time in a theme park and he had a blast.
